The University of North Texas, in collaboration with Tarrant County Colleges, and in partnership with the Texas Education Consortium for Male Students of Color, are excited to host the second annual North Texas Male Student Leadership Summit on Friday, March 29, 2019, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. This leadership experience is a FREE one-day conference and open to all high school and college students, and will include speakers, activities and networking centered around the themes of Brotherhood, Leadership, College & Career Readiness, and Health & Wellness.
By attending the Summit, students will be able to:
- Engage in conversations about manhood and healthy constructions of masculinity and brotherhood
- Learn strategies for developing and furthering leadership skills on campus and in life
- Be exposed to resources and strategies to help them be successful in the processes of applying to college, matriculating through college, and preparing for life after college
- Be exposed to strategies and resources for developing and maintaining healthy habits for physical and mental wellness.
