Hamilton, a Texas native, has served as the director of African American Student Affairs at the University of Arizona and as an adjunct lecturer in that institution’s School of Education. He has also worked at Georgia Institute of Technology and the University of Southern California. He is completing a doctorate in Educational Leadership from Northern Arizona University and his research and educational interests include students of color experiences, black feminist theory, and community building.

Hamilton noted, “It feels amazing to be returning to the University of North Texas! I’m excited to come back to the school that invested in me as an undergraduate and helped to shape me into who I am today. As the incoming director of the Multicultural Center, I will have the opportunity to ‘pay it forward’ by being in community and providing support to marginalized folx across the campus. I’m excited to see how the university has changed in the last decade and I look forward to creating more inclusive spaces for future graduates.”
