On July 29, UNT said farewell to LaToya Haynes who served as an EO Investigator and then an Assistant Director for Equal Opportunity and Title IX since May 2021, and previously served as an Assistant Director for Residence Life, Conduct and Community standard from August 2019 to May 2021. In her tenure with EO & Title IX, LaToya not only handled cases with ease, she also was the chair of a campaign she initiated to bring more awareness to consent at UNT. She was also a helpful source on the Equity & Diversity Planning Committee, the Open House Planning Committee, and the Together with Friends Planning Committee.
LaToya is now an Equal Opportunity Specialist with UT Southwestern Medical Center. Congratulations, LaToya! They're lucky to have such a thoughtful and caring person on their team.
UNT will say farewell to IDEA's communications strategist, James Jackson, on August 12. James earned his BA in Radio, TV, and Film at UNT in 2013 and shortly after was hired as an administrative assistant at the College of Liberal Arts & Social Sciences. From there, he transitioned to the Registrar's Office, UNT CLEAR in the Division of Digital Strategy & Innovation, and finally to the Division of IDEA. With a career spanning almost 10 full-time years working at UNT, James is looking forward to starting his new position with The Moriah Group as their social media manager.
