About the Pride Alliance

The Pride Alliance educates the community through trainings, workshops, and programs that promote awareness, understanding, and inclusion of all genders and sexualities. Together, with their sister office the Multicultural Center, the Pride Alliance also hosts student-led programs like Somos Familia and A Seat at the Table that center Queer and Trans students with intersecting race and ethnic systems of oppression. Through this, the office actively works towards racial justice and decolonization.  The Pride Alliance engages the UNT community through promotion of policies and practices, involvement in campus and local organizations, and supports student success through opportunities for personal growth through dialogue, leadership and identity development, scholarship opportunities, and creating systems of support – including through resources like the OUTfits Clothing Closet.
